Hi Mark,
Thanks for your info. The stem appeared just this week but is shorter and
thicker and the buds (or pods ???) are sort of flat! What I'm afraid of is
that this "stem" is draining the nutrients from the tuber and I am wondering
whether I should sever it, whether it be seed or flower.
