There is also a variegated leaf I. foetidissima that is an excellent
garden plant for shady areas. Since the variegation is very pronounced,
it creates a very nice bright spot in the shade garden. It also has the
red-orange seed pods in the fall like the regular foetidissima.
Unfortunately, this variegated cultivar is difficult to find in
commerce.
