My understanding of "Blue tipped orange" when relating to the beard is that
each individual hair of the beard is blue with an orange tip. This, a
photo of that beard would predominantly show as orange unless the photo
happened to catch the beard from the side where the blue could be seen
undeneath. As far as I know the tip has nothing to do with the "bottom
part of the beard" but is rather the tip of each hair of the beard.
So... a picture showing an iris with and orange beard with just a hint of
blue-violet could easily be a blue-violet tipped orange beard.
That's my understanding anyhow. Someone please let me know whether this is
right as I don't "officially" know.
