Glenn, You are correct. In southern California the plant is almost a
weed if you let it get out of control. I am still trying to get it
totally out of my garden from when my Grandmother tossed out a house
plant about 15 or 20 years ago. I have finally resorted to deep digging
and carefully removing by hand all plant pieces that I find. I think
that there is only one or two areas where I still have any and I will be
successful by winter in getting the last out.
