Truely enjoyed Kathy's list criteria as I am facing this problem for the
Very first time this year. I have unlimited space (live in the country) but
VERY limited time and ENERGY to take care of a larger garden area. So I
guess my criteria for continued space in my garden will be:
1. Historic (nothing old gets tossed, named or not)
2. Given to me as a gift
3. Iris Club doorprize iris (usually new intros)
4 . Novelty ( colorbreak or SA )
5. Reblooms
6. Not really tall ( wind is a problem here in the open)
7. Distinctive (don't have to look at the tag to see what it is )
8. Dykes Medal Winner ( one section for just these)
9. Anything you can WOW at
10. Anything hubby thinks is pretty
So now that I've made a list, off to the garden to see what might go in
order to plant this years new ones (about 20 but mostly historics)
