Please don't. You don't have to like an Iris simply because someone
else does. When I had UNFORGETTABLE FIRE in Kentucky, I got rid of it
because it always fell over. Some of the "red" Irises that did well there
are FOX HOUND, CAPTAIN GALLANT, and CALIENTE. Notice the tendency toward

I grow NEW CENTURION by Schreiner's and it is a deep carmine red that looks
just beautiful when the sun is behind it. It just glows.
An interesting "red?" I would never be without is PRESTIGE ITEM (Hager '93).
I like unique and different colors and this certainly is. It is described as
a "salmon rose" which sounds a little bizarre and unlikely. It is not a
terribly apt description but it almost defies description. Very pretty and
pleasing. Nice branching and form too.
