Patrick,
I really cannot tell you for sure. You would need to talk to a species
specialist to learn that info. I was only trying to give interested
parties an idea of the various species which were identified at the time
The World of Irises was written as having been in the background of
various PCN's that are currently being grown. It is known that there are
natural hybrids. I urge you to read The World of Iris pages 219-225 for
more detailed info.
