HYB: iris borer in seed pods

From: Dennis Kramb <dkramb@badbear.com>

Well, well, well, guess what I found in a seed pod this evening? A very
unwelcomed visitor indeed! A small caterpillar/worm/critter, which I am
guessing to be an iris borer larvae, had set up residence in a seed pod.
It had partially dined on 3 seeds, and totally devoured another......it
burrowed and dined upon seeds in 2 of the 3 chambers. Fortunately the
dozens of other seeds appear perfectly healthy.

Is this common? I've never heard of it before.
