Louisiana irises are water irises and water irises need sun rather than cold
to germinate. If you covered the seed, dig them up--a fork is useful for
this--rinse them off, peel off the corky coating, sow on the surface of moist
medium or vermiculite, water well, cover with saran wrap and put in a bright
place out of the direct sun. Remove saran when germination starts, which,
assuming they are still viable, should be within a month.
