TB,REB,HYB:Season's over, but....

My TB season ended weeks ago, but I am getting some early rebloom with big
healthy stalks on MULLED WINE and EGGNOG. EGGNOG is a pretty dependable
rebloomer for me; I'm not impressed by the color, but the form and
substance are quite nice for a rebloomer. Oh, PLUM WINE (dwarf) is still
popping off too. Waiting for my pods to ripen. I only tried about 20
crosses this year; about a 50% success rate. Not bad considering that I
was transplanting all of my iris during the bloom season. I needed to be
very careful with the stalks, and they probably lost a lot of vigor along
with the roots. Nevertheless, the pods that I do have look fat and
healthy. I look forward to seeing what I can get out of CRYSTAL DREAMS,
and whether I can get a more vigorous seedling from SPIRIT WORLD. Still
looking for good neglectas, too.

Hope all of your bloom seasons were/are as lovely as mine, and I encourage
everyone to try a few crosses. It is fun to see what you can get.
Although 98% of the seedling are dogs or at least not improvements on
what's available, when you do come up with something special YOU ARE THE
ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD WITH THAT PARTICULAR FLOWER.
