Sorry, I wasn't clear.
The Checklist database contains the complete entry for each iris listed
in that particular checklist including name, hybridizer, description,
genealogy etc.
We have only the '89 Checklist in the Checklist Database right now.
There is a second database called the Namelist Database. This is a
complete list of every iris ever registered by the AIS. It also includes
the registration or introduction year and the document where it is found
(so you don't have to keep searching different volumes), but not the descriptions.
Now that you mentioned volunteers... We are in the process of proofing
the 1979 Checklist in electronic form and soon after that the 1960 etc.
I you have a 1979 Checklist (or are willing to buy one, or can borrow
one from your club) and are willing to help this project let me know. We
can use additional help. he more help we get the sooner it will all be
on line. There are rewards for helping, in case altruism is not
enough...(no I am not telling) <grin>
