TB:Babbling brook with horns ?

Hello,
I have two clumps of BABBLING BROOK bought from two separate suppliers
that both appear to have small 1/4 inch white horns. Some of the
flowers have more pronounced horns than others but they're definitely
appendages protruding from the end of the beards.
Does BB have any SA genes ? Has anybody every noticed horns on BB
before ? I find this fascinating.
