Hi Amy,
Lots of irises have that scent. One iris that comes to
mind is Iris pallida. It's a species iris that has the
grape Kool-Aid scent that you're looking for. There is
also two variegated forms of pallida that have the
cent. One is yellow/green variegated, commonly called
'Zebra' and the other is white/green variegated called
'Argentea'
Do you live in Seattle? If so, the King County Iris
Society meets every first monday of the month and are
a fun group to socialize with and learn about irises.
We are always trading or giving away irises at the
meetings. And the Iris Sales are coming up real soon
here so you might be able to find your grape scented
iris or other irises that you can't live without.
