I never have understood why folks spray for potato beetles in a small
garden. Usually two sessions either squishing bugs (as fully satisfying
as I've heard it is to squish iris borers) or knocking them off into a
bucket and then dumping them into the creek (I suppose flushing would
work also...) gets rid of them.
