Well, I don't find the reply procedure on AOL onerous, myself.
And I'm inclined to observe that the point of a list like this is group
conversation and not everyone is interested in having a lot of individual
mail roll in from folks they hardly know. If there is a post to the list one
can answer or not as one pleases, if it comes directly to one one must
courteously acknowledge it, unless of course, one chooses to ignore it for
good cause.
Also, in re: OT. I observe that that is where a most of the humor on the list
bursts forth, and that is a good, healthy thing. Some of those "No OT" places
are dreary and stolid beyond imagining. Nor is stifling OT any assurance that
fracas won't break out.
This is a good list. I like it.
