Hi Dorothy,
The massive thunderstorm we had pass through the area this afternoon, as well as the 90 degree weather this week means fewer blooms. Looking forward to seeing you in Hale Mi tomorrow June 16 for our 57th annual iris show. Open to to public 1:30-4:30 unabused plug. Located on M-65 Large sign with iris in front of building. Hope others may join us.

HI Mike, What a wonderful catalog that will be,! after the Natl. we have made a persuit of gathering good photos of the iris we shoot. Would like to be able to share all these photos ---so we are looking at camera's any help you can give would be appreciated , please all chime in.
Last TB show tomorrow here in Michigan. I'm sure after our siege of 90 plus weather this week that it will be interesting.
Ring round Rosie blooming now, first year after planting and looking not bad for a 1st yr. bloom season.

Thanks Doris,
That was actually rain on the flower! It does rain here occasionally :-) Pictures are so much more effective, we are working on an all color catalog for next year with pictures for just about every iris that isn't in the sunset or timeless collections. Thanks again.
Sincerely
Mike Sutton

Hey Mike:
Not a thing wrong with playing around with back lighting. . it can
certainly enhance a photograph. I like the "dew drops" also. I've used
water droplets when photographing spider webs. . it occurs naturally in
nature if you're there at the right time of (early) morning. Nothing wrong
with giving Mom Nature a helping hand!
Oh, and that Iris is drop-dead gorgous!! and so reasonably priced in
your catalog (pg. 8) Guess I'll just have to call and add it to my order! <G
> Reading the description pales in comparison to seeing the iris in color!
Great photograph. I also like the way you soften the border. . . very
effective.
