Re: Green irises


I once had a greenish iris called EVERGREEN HIDEAWAY, and while it produced stalks with lots of blossoms, the green was, I thought, rather a muddy green, not especially attractive to my way of thinking.  That's why, when I lost it (can't remember the reason) I didn't try  to replace it.  The hybridizer was Jack Ames, the year of intro. about 1987 or 88.  Saw it first at the Omaha national convention in 1990.
