To get TB bloom early enough to use for setting pods from aril pollen, I
planted a special bed in a sheltered location against a south-east facing
wall. Protected from north winds, warmed by the sun, they bloomed several
weeks ahead of those planted conventionally.
That trick might also be used to get late-blooming TBs to cooperate with the
schedule of mid-season shows.....
