Why does my "Hot Fudge" have blue beards?

All the descriptions I see for him quote yellow beards and mine have blue? But I have seen a few pictures with this iris resembling mine and labeled Hot Fudge. Is this due to which parent gene in stronger in each iris? Like my mom is green eyed but my dad is brown eyed and I got the green ones and sibiling has brown ?
