Oops sorry about that blank reply a second ago. Okay this subject line's
probably way off but my list is in a moving box today, and she's probably
growing TB's

STEPHANIE: There is no one source for pictures of all your iris. Many
people assume that there are not possibly thousands and thousands of
different varieties out there, some of which are virtually indistinguishable
even by an expert. They are wrong. You have a small chance if you can
trace the iris to where you bought them, and compare to their offerings; but
if you bought them at the local home store or variety store they were
probably mislabeled in the first place, and no one will know what they
carried last year. Some distictive iris can be identified, but not by
saying "which is the light blue one?" If you ever pass these iris on as
known varieties, it may be a disservice to the recipient and the hybridizer
who introduced the variety whose name you adopted. Go ahead; if you like
them, grow them. But do not label them unless a number of knowledgeable
iris growers unanimously confirm your identification.
