CULT:DisappointingTBs

Time for another one of my infamous lists!  Hit delete if there is a 
possibility that another list might upset you.  Let's see, the first list 
was on ugly irises followed by beautiful irises.  Now, some big 
disappointments in MY garden. Not intended as 'bashing,'  this is 
how the following do in one garden, and is obviously not the norm 
as I have listed AMs,  Dykes and Wister Medal winners.  How do 
they do for you?

BLUE SUEDE SHOES  -  a 'plain Jane' after waiting four years for 
bloom.  I was expecting something really spectacular.

BOOGIE WOOGIE  -   if it had been introduced as an IB or a BB, 
I'd sing its praises.   

ENNOBLE  -  washed out rusty red with a bud count of four.  One
branch.

FEATURE ATTRACTION  -  bloomed out twice.

HEAVEN  -  bald rhizome died over winter.  Replaced with rhizome 
showing one increase.  Replacement died.  I gave up. Have never 
seen it in bloom in any convention/regional garden.

HELLO DARKNESS   -  a near bloom-out every other year.  
Alternate years it does not bloom, but builds up energy to try to 
bloom out again.

NORTHWEST PROGRESS  -  No progress at all.. Died, replaced, 
died again without blooming.

OWYHEE DESERT - Beautiful, gigantic flowers on twelve inch 
stalks.

SANTA  - still waiting for bloom  on a three year clump.

TOWERING INFERNO  -  this is an oldy, but I recommend it to all 
of the fans of DESTRY RIDES AGAIN.   It's a red form of Destry. 
They could be playmates and maybe mate, but I have serious 
cause to wonder about their children.

I stopped with ten but my list was longer.  I know if I included the 
others, there would be wailing and gnashing of teeth.   I envy all of 
you  who can grow these well.
