HI Walter,
Ok, I'll play. And I'll echo your comments that this is just in my
garden with sandy, very sandy loam. And yes I've tried fertilizer on
these. I'll start by agreeing with two of yours...
HELLO DARKNESS...minimal increase and absolutely will not bloom, fourth year.
It's going away this year to other homes.
OWYHEE DESERT...yes short but not as short as yours! However, I give this
one points on the uniqeness of the flower. Blooms were nice size but not
too big here.
CINNAMON GIRL....I already commented that this ones fades REAAALLLLY badly
here. Increase is so-so.
PRIDE OF IRELAND...also not one bloom in four years. Think it's one of
those "needs the cold" types.
YAQUINA BLUE....I know alot of people will be shocked about this one, and the
complaint isn't with increase. The color was just not remarkable at all.
Took two years to bloom.
EDITH WOLFORD...i've discussed this one, no bloom.
IMMORTALITY...also discussed before, just won't bloom here, 4yrs
SUGAR BLUES...color nice but what a dog to increase, short stalks, and almost
too sweet (is that possible?)
ELECTRIQUE...was expecting a more striking contrast in colors, but kept it
for breeding. Not a fabulous grower here either.
MARY FRANCES...way pale here, almost a tinted orchid white. Can't fault her
increase or form though. Just like my colors deeper.
