Hi Margie: Here is the description of Juniata taken from Historic Chronicle
#13 on Bertrand H. Farr, the hybridizer. I have deleted some of the data so
as to provide you with what I think it is you want to know. If you will send

1932 as Juanita, shown by Mur; $
Farr 1910: S. and F. beautiful clear blue, deeper than Dalmatica, very
large sweet scented flowers. 4½ ft. Unusually long slender foliage.
Farr 1915: (Pal) S. and F. clear blue, deeper than Dalmatica, large
fragrant flowers. The tallest of all the bearded irises with unusually long
drooping foliage.
Wayman 1924: 36 in. Midseason. Large handsome, very fragrant flowers, on
long strong stems. Makes a gorgeous bouquet and is equally effective in the
garden. Light blue with orange beard.
Williamson 1927,'29,'30,'32: S. and F. a medium shade of rosy lavender
large flowers on very tall stems. Midseason to late. One of Farr's best
irises.
Sheets 1928: 40" E. to M.S. A clear violet-blue, almost self; orange
beard; sweetly scented. A very large flower of a desirable color being of a
deeper tone than Princess Beatrice. Vigorous, free flowering, and very
effective for a tall mass.
Orpington 1926: An American variety of considerable merit. A strong, tall
grower and free flowering with large self coloured bluish violet blooms, the
falls rather deeper than the standards and slightly shot purple.
