My contribution to the latest "list call":
In 3 parts:
#1: Lovely and vigorous:
DOUBLE DRIBBLE (a second year plant for me, has already had three
waves of bloom this spring; if it never stops, can it qualify as "last
man"?)
EPICENTER (great bloom and increase every year)
SOCIETY PAGE (second year plant, where did itall come from?)
#2: Pretty and vigorous:
INNOCENT STAR (a first year plant on its third wave of bloom)
DIFFERENT DESIGN (5 or 6 stalks in its first year)
PERSIAN BERRY (always dependable)
ROCK STAR (cute, lots of increase, sometimes reblooms well)
DAWNING (great garden iris)
PAGAN PINK (always dependable, taller every year)
#3: Very vigorous, but hard to get excited about up close:
STINGRAY (reblooms constantly, great stalks, but blah form)
BLUE SUEDE SHOES (not much better-looking than Stingray)
STAGE LIGHTS (somehow just doesn't appeal to me)
OCELOT (Idol is much prettier)
EAGLE CONTROL (not bad, just not "special")
PROGRESSIVE ATTITUDE (reblooms, but doesn't appeal to me)
