Lots of troublemaking critters this year. A few missing seedpods just
disappeared. My best guess was a raccoon or opossum. The pool guy pulled
one 'possum out of our pool the other week, so that may have been it. The
pillbugs/sowbugs/rolypolys/whatever you like to call them have been enjoying
my iris; I've never seen so many. They have caused rot in a number of my
fans with their chewing, and have cut a few right off. Not many earwigs,
though, and the aphids are only a problem near the rosemary. Maybe I should
see if diazenon or something takes out the sowbugs.
Does Double Dribble perform as well for the rest of you as it does for me?
Definitely a repeat bloomer, very attractive, and with consistent stalks.
Someone asked about purple seed pods. Laugh Lines pods are not solid
purple, but are definitely heavily stained with a purple hue, particularly
in the seams.
