When my parents were first married they spent the summer in the mountains
cutting logs, living in a large tent. Mother washed her undies, slips (ya -
in those days women only wore dresses & slips!), and her nightgows, hanging
them from a rope between two trees. The next morning all were eaten to
shreds from the big grasshoppers. Gosh - wonder if that's how come my mamma
got pregnant......
