It is not appropriate to call people names in a post to the list. It is
not even a good idea in private posts. It never does anyone any good.
On a list such as ours, there are many different personalities and many
styles of communicating. *BUT* you have to remember that no attempt at
communication is perfect. And to that end, is is wiser to stick to your
opinions about subjects rather than couching your thoughts in arguments
with others.
I am not saying that we should not disagree with something that someone
says, merely that you should reply in terms based on your experience and
leave the attack dogs at rest.
I think I am reasonably calm about many things that happen on the list,
but I *will not* tolerate rudness and discourtesy.
