Lookee: Another IRIS question! Wee!
I need advice on a proposed planting of JI or SIB.
I have a catchbasin built ABOVE ground level of dry
layed rock and filled with river-rock. A downspout
offf a gutter pours right into here... it's probably
one of the major outpour areas on the roof, and looks
like a miniature Multnomah Falls when it's raining.
I was thinking, would it be okay to plant som JI or
SIB in here? Of course, I could pull up some of the
stones and fill in some better soil.... Generally in
the wet season it's like a little creek, but in the
dry season, (like most of our gardens.) Not bone dry,
but it xcan definitely get warm out there, and lightly
"toast".
Opinions?
