Another method of saving pollen that I didn't mention in earlier post.
Cut some stalks and keep them in suitable bottles (beer bottles work well). I keep these in the garage where it is warm and dry. These are often show stalks that I bring back home from shows with other peoples stalks that they kindly let me have. When the flowers start to wilt, I remove standards, falls and style arms. The pollen and style arms dry nicely and is viable for some time. Be sure to label stalks as when flower is gone they all look the same. Thus when you have good weather after rain you have pollen you can use.
