HYB:Drying Seed

Gently shake the paper cups (styrofoam coffee cups) or stir the
seeds occasionally with your fingers. Make sure each seed is
separate. This aids in drying and preventing mildew/mold. A cool,
dry place is best for drying.

I have a fat seed pod some critter knocked off and chewed on
before he/she
decided it was not a gourmet item. It had about six inches of stem,
and I stuck it in a hanging basket in full sun. It has continued to
mature and the seams are splitting now. The seeds are mature in
size but not in color. They are slightly off-white. They should be tan
to brown, and as they dry, they will get darker.
