From my records and the HIPS image, I had re-identified one of my pale
yellow iris as Elsa Sass.
Laurie's PBF List shows that ELSA SASS has very definite Purple base
foliage (PBF). Mine does not have any purple on it. She indicated that
all iris do not have PBF under different planting conditions. Could this
still be ELSA SASS?
I have posted 2 different images of my pale yellow iris on iris-photos.
Iris it might possibly be are:
CORPORAL MARY (Graves - 1949)
CREAM CHIFFON (Innes - 1953)
DESERT SONG (Fay - 1943) (Probably not)
MOONLIGHT MADONNA (J. Sass - 1943)
Does anyone know whether these iris are similar enough to Elsa Sass to be
mistaken for her?
