Cult: the borer and merit

Hi all.

I  used the grub chemical by bayer this year and it is not as effective as 
the old merit.
I have borer again in vast quantity. the other thought is that i did not get 
to trim back all my fans to three inches as i had the year before in november. 
I think that gets rid of lots of eggs. We had such funky weather with an 
early cold  onset last fall and late snow til end of April here. Yes i thought it 
was the beginning of the ice age. But last summer was so hot and dry we 
thought it was the beginning of the end...... Since April though we have had to 
start building an ark. The weather channel gave us about 7 sunny days  in the last 
23 weeks! that is a record for sure. But the sun is out today so  I am 
smiling.
