Breakers is taking the show as last man here. It's last buds opened today,
almost a week after everything else was gone. Terrific weather for iris here
this spring. Thought some of you might be interested in seeing which of mine
showed open blooms over the longest periods.
Sugar Blues 26 days, 2002 rebloom 26 days total bloom 1 year =52 days
Amain 28 days, 2002 rebloom 9 days, total bloom 1 year = 37 days
Autumn Tryst 19 days, 2002 rebloom 15 days, total bloom 1 year = 34 days
Second Look 34 days
Autumn Grandeur 30 days
Breakers 29 days
Designer Gown, Olympiad, Wabash 25 days - extra credit to Designer Gown,
received from Riverview last July.
Bethany Claire, Timescape 24 days
Sostenique 22 days - extra credit here, too, for setting 8 pods on 2 stalks,
while standing straight as a plumb bob through winds that took off tree
branches.
Prettiest new acquisition - Hilltop View - gorgeous pastel blue with lace.
Have not seen a photo do it justice!
Mary Lou, near Indianapolis - 185 pods from first 450 crosses. Yikes!
