Hi Mary Lou,
I haven't done any of the exact same crosses,
but I am working on rebloomers in zone 5 too.
If we all share info, maybe we can shorten our
learning curve.
I do have two crosses with MOTHER EARTH. It
was fairly resistant to setting pods. To be
fair though, it rained a good bit while it was
blooming.
I managed to break off a pod off of Zurbrigg's
MASTERWORK. So don't feel bad, you aren't the
only one who has those kind of problems. Good
thing though that it has very fertile pollen.
I'm really looking forward to seeing if it will
be a good parent.
Zurbrigg's SEASONS of MISTS set pods here, but
didn't produce pollen.
I've been happily making crosses on WEARING
RUBIES with some saved pollen. So far, it
looks like it is going to set pods all over the
place. WR does rebloom in Australia, so I'm
using pollen from some cold weather rebloomers
to see if I can't get some rebloom here.
Now all I have to do is get those seeds to
germinate for me this year!
