Walter, Betty, Lloyd, others trying to hybridize rebloomers in our
climate - I notice that I DO and MOTHER EARTH were both mentioned in the
Reblooming articles as good rebloomer parents.
MOTHER EARTH is a truly crummy grower/bloomer here. I would hate to be
trying to use her genes to get tough rebloomers.
==Does she do ok for the rest of you this far south, or is she more of a
Yankee plant?
I DO is new for me - I didn't try to make any crosses on it. Although
the substance was definitely a lot better than IMMORTALITY, it wasn't
any taller than IMMORTALITY and the bud placement was tight against the
stalk.
==Is that because my growing conditions (microclimate) are so bad or
does it have problems throughout our region?
This was such an incredibly good year for everything, I can't imagine
she will ever look much better here.
