Mike, are you able to tell all the rebloom children in the first year? I
don't deal with anything like the same volume of seedlings that you do, but
sometimes it takes a second or third year before the rebloom starts here. Could
this be a climatic difference? But then things of mine, GILDED CREAM, have
rebloomed for you when they never rebloomed here. I'm not getting a true
percentage.

I'm getting some rebloom from both of my crosses using Innocent Star as the
pod parent. 1 pod each, with 26 and 14 seed respectively. These were lined out
early in 2001 but none bloomed that fall. Then, I had that awful spring in
2002 were I found they were in a frost/freeze pocket and I lost many. I'd say I
have about 6-8 good plants left in each cross that survived the freeze.

Last summer (same year as frost damage) the Innocent Star x Radiant Bliss
gave one summer (July I believe) stalk. I could recognize Rock Star influence.
Now this summer I have 2 seedlings from Innocent Star X Rebound that have put
up stalks. (no bloom yet) Seedlings from this cross look less like Innocent
Star/Rock Star.

I've not tried to keep track of the percentage of rebloom children, but there
are so many variables that I would think it is impossible to say Immortality
gives xx% rebloom. Rebloom children are the result of both parents. For
instance, SILVERADO X IMMORTALITY gave 00% rebloom. We've talked before about the
possibility that SILVERADO has some type of rebloom inhibitor. FEEDBACK X
TITAN'S GLORY gave no rebloom for me, out of approximately 45 seedlings.

When I made the move from Alvaton I brought the 5 strongest seedlings from
this cross: (E24-5: IMMORTALITY x PLEDGE ALLIGANCE) X F37-REBRST:(IMMORTALITY X
BEAU ZAM). Three of the five have bloomed in the fall. That's a pretty good
percentage-60%. Would it have carried through to the entire crop? Probably not
because I only brought the strongest, and the rebloom seems to be on the
stronger plants. (no blue beards)

In California, you will have a higher percent of rebloom for any given cross,
since some of mine will never rebloom unless they move to California!

Any help at all?
