Actually curious about the name Firenze.  I see it occasionally, but never
with reference to who (or what) the name refers to.

An Iris I noticed at Long's in Boulder Colorado several years ago was
Firenze Frolic.  It really struck me as beautiful, but when I developed the
pictures, it just looked like another rather dull-colored dark plicata
(hardly dull out in the sun).
