'Zebra' has never done well in Ottawa ON (z4bish-5). It's just a blah plant anyway (unless you are into species).
On the other hand, both 'Canadian Streaker' and 'Zebra Nights' do well, but are a little slow. I have three seedlings out of 'Sargent Preston' x 'Sea Power' (all blue selfs) that are doing well in a z4 garden - maiden bloom on two year plants.
The problem with VF plants tends to be with extreme light and temperature levels... the high side as opposed to the low. They just burn up.
