Interesting, Paul.

I've seen the blue tinge on freshly opened blooms of IMMORTALITY,
especially in unusually cool weather, but not plicata markings.  I've
was surprised to see conspicuous plicata markings on freshly opened
LACED COTTON blooms one cool bloom season, but didn't remember a blue
tinge on the rest of the bloom.

In my memory, most buds of white blooms look bluish to me - can you
think of a few widely grown whites that don't have bluish buds that are
good examples for us?
