Re: what I have so far

Molly,

The AIS is not the registration authority for Dutch Irises (nor for English or Spanish irises). They are known as bulbous irises. I am not sure there is a registration authority for any of these.

The AIS is the registration authority for rhizomatous irises, those irises that form rhizomes.

That is why you don't see anything on the AIS website on Dutch irises.

Hi all!
I've been busy reading and going through the plants I have. Found two named Iris in my collection.
Swingtown and Stairway to Heaven. Both are TB.
I also have what I was told were Dutch Iris. At the AIS site I could not find any mention of Dutch Iris. Is this a misnomer? They have grass like foilage. One has white flowers, the other purple. Flowers are on the small side.
Thanks to the person (sorry, I can't remember who you are) who suggested Riverview Iris Gardens . They seem to have a lot of plants at very reasonable prices!
