RE: Cult: Websites of local clubs - how beneficial

Northern Lights Regional Iris Society (NLRIS.CA) the newest CIS affiliated
society, covers the Canadian prairies and colder areas of BC, Yukon and NWT.
We have found our website very useful although it is still under
construction.

There has been positive feedback from people who have found us. I think the
fact that we cover all the western Canadian subzero growing areas from zone 1
is important. This because we need to plant our iris slightly differently
from those growing in warmer zones. Questions at the moment seem to be about
planting times, overwintering types of iris and so on.

We are the original Northern Lights Iris that started as a yahoo group in
2004. Our yahoo list functions as means of communication between members.
