Cult: Equipment for Powerpoint Presentations

 Info needed from you computer geeks or reg people:  I want to get the
equipment to be able to do everything but electricity to present
presentations.  My husband and I both enjoy doing presentations, but many
times places don't have the equipment.

What is the most reasonable amount and quality of equipment needed.??

I just got my Dell catalog and has tweaked my interest again.
