Thanks to all that answered my qestion about stress and how, or if, it damages the genetic makeup of the seedlings. 

This past year+ has made me question a lot of things.
Linda, I agree that this bloom season was better than last (2007) but it's hard to know how long the damage from 2007 lasts.
Many of the rebloomers were cut back in the early freeze. The most amazing thing I saw from this mess is how well Renown & Matrix seemed to prosper from the stress. Lots of of stalks--tall stalks and full blooms. The only down side was low bud count.
