I found both 'Lake Taneycomo' and 'Noble Stature' (both of which I purchased from Rockytop Gardens) to be very nice. Even though they were new to me and planted late last year both had nice, straight, thick, branched stalks. They both had nice large blooms and once established they will be taller. I will note that 'Lake Taneycomo' is described as having no violet at all in the flower, but it had some violet between the veins on the Falls for me. I'm hoping that might disappear next year. Other than that is looks just like its picture (maybe better). It has pollen but it didn't pod on the few that I tried. I didn't get any pods on it but I only tried one pollen parent with it this year so as not to burden it. 'Noble Stature' didn't have much pollen but it set a pod with a seedling.

I like 'Amplified' more and more each year and this year was spectacular! I just glows with intensity. If you look inside the flower it would almost be considered a glaciata but there are just a few anthocyanin flecks at the base. You would never seem them if you didn't look. And it set quite a few pods and had pollen to boot, which has been rare for me. It is a mid-late to late bloomer for me so using htat pollen on what is left blooming might be a challenge. I just wish the foliage was more blue-green than yellow-green. But it grows well wherever I put it.

I like 'Dream Team'from Mid-America. It needs to get more establihed being it's first year to appreciate it's potential. It did set pods both ways with 'Fade to Black'. So far 'Fade to Black' has been unwilling and it is my favorite black to date. And it is BLACK with just a hint or purple in the standards for me. My fingers are very crossed!
