Crazy weather, Mike. Our temperatures are closer to 'normal' today & the next few - lows in the lower 60s, highs in the 80s. We set or came close to record highs for weeks. Very unusual to have more than an occasional high above 90 in May or early June, certainly nothing in the upper 90s this time of year. And definitely not week after week of this kind of heat. Tomatoes & peppers ripening a month early.
We've definitely had "your" hot weather since late April, esp mid May till today. At least the drought means humidity is much lower than usual, so it's more comfortable.
<We will finally hit our normal high today, first time in two months. Looks like here we will have a couple of normal days and nights this week. >
Chuck, I've ordered some larger diameter hose for the sump pump that will let me furrow irrigate a couple of rows. I'm probably not going to be organized enough to soak them every night from now until I see stalks, but will try.
