No Bloom


No bloom for five years?  Let me hazard a guess:  planted too deeply.

One of the most common causes of this is planting the rhizomes 6" deep, like
daffodils, tulips, or glads.  The iris will eventually form new rhizomes closer
to the surface, but they rarely bloom until that is accomplished.  And I've seen
it take more than 5 years.
