--------------------- We have a beautiful "black" iris in the San Francisco Bay Area. New to us. Purchased from a local iris society sale at a farmer's market and planted last September. The fans are vigorous but the bloom is "sesille" acccording to the World of Irises, i.e. -no stalk. Is this poor genetic material or poor culture or poor luck? Nature or Nurture?
