Rusty, you should consult with local iris growers before you
attempt JI's in Tarrant County. The only person to have grown JI's
successfully near you is Marie Caillet in Denton County. She also is the
'dean' of all Louisiana growers and can help you in many ways. She
contributes her expertise to D/FW Garderner and other publications.
Neill Sperry (KRLD) often consults with her. Go and visit her bog to get
an idea of what it involves.
