The Iris you are asking about sounds as though it might be BENGAL
TIGER. BENGAL TIGER has clean bright yellow standards. The falls are the
same but with prominent maroon stripes the full length of the petals, with
a 1/8" yellow band around the edge of the petals. BENGAL TIGER has yellow
beards. Its registered height is 37", but during cold wet years, it will
often bloom at a lower height. If this is the Iris you have, it is a good
one.
