Garden Design reviews garden software in the Dec96/Jan97 issue. They
basically said everything they tried had some problems.

Microsoft Gardening: well designed, easy to use, but gaps in the information.
Landdesigner 4.0:lots of bugs
Garden Encyclopedia 2.0: uneven
3D Landscape: nifty but demands huge amounts of detailed information to
apply to ones own garden.

My impression from this is that Microsoft Gardening is the best.
